What it means….
You get to eat as much non-processed, non-added sugar as you want!
- Milk (if that’s your thing)
- Greek yogurt
Say YES to more whole foods!
Say YES to unprocessed foods!
Decide today if you’re doing 1 cheat meal a week, 1 cheat day a month, or something else. Plan it now.
We are all in for 1 cheat day a month.
This is not a RESTRICTION. This is a voluntary choice…. for YOUR SELF! Your health, your energy, your body.
Get your snacks ready!
Some ideas to get you started:
- Justin’s Almond Butter
- PopCorner chips
- Pressed By Kind Fruit Bars
- CheezIts (my fav)
- PopChips (the buffalo ranch are divine)
Personally I don’t do artificial sweeteners.
Some people feel a certain way about pure maple syrup and honey. I think both are fine in moderation. Pure maple syrup is tricky because who is moderating how much syrup they put on pancakes, waffles, and/or french toast. Save it for your cheat day.
Obvious everyday sources of added sugar:
- Ice Cream
- All those fancy Starbucks coffees, frappuccinos, etc.
Not so obvious sources of added sugar:
- Condiments (especially ketchup, my fav)
- Pasta sauce
- Breakfast cereals
- Granola bars
- Tonic water (the actual devil in liquid form)
Other foods to limit (or cut):
- White flour
- White pasta
- White rice (the devil IS a lie. Rice will always be a part of my diet.)
Just say no to artificial sugars… they can lead to more sugar cravings.
et’s talk about alcohol…
If you’re like us, you love a good brunch or happy hour! Plus the rest of the year brings more birthdays, holidays, and special events.
Do not fret!
No one said anything about NOT DRINKING ALCOHOL!
Those bottomless mimosas?
Fruity tropical drinks?
Alcohol & juice
Alcohol & tonic
Alcohol & soda
Nope, nope, nope.
Here’s what you’ll want to sip on instead…
Neat, up, straight up, on the rocks.
Gin, vodka, whiskey, wine.
Be careful about rosé and dessert wines. Depending on the manufacturer, they may use added sugar!
